Part 2 of 6 - Twinstrike Pictorial Review

Today's review will be on.....Twinstrike! Twinstrike is another Legion Class figure from the Transformers Prime Beast Hunters toyline and it combines with 4 other Predacons from the same toyline, Hun-Gurrr, Windrazor, Blight and Rippersnapper to form Abominus. In this touline, Twinstrike can form either the left or right arm of Abominus, but the official configuration on the official photos show Twinstrike as Abominus' left arm.

In the G1 universe, Twinstrike was originally known as Sinnertwin. Perhaps Hasbro gave him a new name due to copyright reasons or maybe because Sinnertwin sounded a bit like a name for a horror movie(to me it does). Anyway, I'm alright with both names but I feel that most G1 fans will disapprove of the name change due to sentimental attachments to the original Terrorcon.

      The awesome(and cute) G1 Sinnertwin!

First up, Twinstrike's packaging. He comes in the same, standard Legion Class box as Hun-Gurrr(with a different name, the designation below the name and the weapon at the front),

I also opened him waaaay before the photo shoot...

And he also has his tech specs on the side.

Wow...Brave guy...

And a picture of him at the back in his robot and beast mode together with an artwork of the Transformers Prime Series(again partially blocked by Tesco's soft tag.

Twinstrike's beast mode is a two-headed creature which is an excellent homage to his G1 counterpart.

His beast mode, unlike Hun-Gurrr, is sleek either from the side or the front.

The fact that the head is not articulation is a little bit disappointing. It does not affect Twinstrike much in his beast mode, but it greatly limits his poseability in his robot mode(which I will be reviewing next). The forelimbs of the beast mode are also connected to each other with a single cylindrical piece of plastic and although both forelimbs can move separately, the angle of movement is not that big and his poseability is limited.

The single connecting piece for his forelimbs.

His articulation is quite limited, and I feel that Hun-Gurrr is better articulated. However, he can still manage to look cool in some poses.

The chase is on!

Scouting the area..

Double the heads, double the terror!

      Next, close-up of his head

Nice paint on the horns and eyes.

      Twinstrike having fun!

Should we join the circus?

Confirmed we can join the circus!

Now, on to his robot mode. His robot mode looks kind of nice and I like his design where his two beast mode's heads become his robot arms. However, as I mentioned earlier, the beast mode's head is not articulated, leaving his arms looking stiff. In terms of kibble, the only kibble he has is the beast mode's forelimbs hanging off his back, which also slightly limits his arm articulation.

A close up of his head in robot mode. It does not really resemble his G1 self, but it looks alright to me.

Twinstrike comes with a Piston Hammer, which is basically a hammer with some cool details moulded into it.

It is quite a nice weapon, but the light grey colour kinds of spoils it. The colour of Hun-Gurrr's weapon would certainly make it a lot nicer...

Judgement's Day is near...

Size-wise, he is almost the same as any standard Legion Class figure.

And just some fun shots of him.

Brothers-in-arms!

He passed my strength test.

How dare you carry me, the one and only Orion Pax???!!!

Twinstrike surrenders!

This is what you get if you mess with Orion!!!

Poor guy, even Megatron doesn't like him...

In fact, I think nobody likes him at all...

Last but not least, his combiner arm mode.

Ta-daaa!

Yes, it is basically his beast mode with his tail folded upwards.

And he is quite big as an arm...

Overall, Twinstrike is a fun figure to play with. My only complaint, besides the limited articulation, is the current pricing for a Legion Class figure, which I feel is a bit steep. However, if you can ignore that, then like Hun-Gurrr, I would definitely recommend him.

Thanks for reading and I hope all of you enjoyed this review.

And another teaser image for my next review.

Once more,thanks for reading!
